Danielle Kerper Danielle Kerper is a California Native who illustrates peculiar, bold, and imaginative characters full of quirk and puns. She graduated in 2021 with a BFA in Illustration from Rocky Mountain College of Art (RMCAD) and Design and a Certificate in Graphic Design from Fresno City College. While attending RMCAD, her accomplishments were recognized on the Dean’s and President’s list during the height of a pandemic while working in an essential business. She has been influenced by artists and storytellers like Walt Disney, Vincent Van Gogh, Lisa Frank, Sam Butcher's "Precious Moments", Edward Gorey, Tim Burton, and Charles Addams. Her desire is to create characters that bring life into the story and environments that express movement while being still. Her inspiration is fed by different music genres, classic comedic cartoons, horror films and life around her. That background creates a style of sarcastic stories while carrying an open mind full of imagination in silly characters with a rock n’ roll edge.
Her main mediums include graphite, ink, watercolor, acrylic, gouache and digital programs Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Procreate.
She continues to focus on Dwarfism Awareness, Suicide Prevention and Anti-Bullying. Her hope is to shed more light on these issues and encourage others to “be true to yourself” within her art and life. “When I die, you can call me an artist. Until then, I live life as a student continuing to learn and grow.” –D. Kerper
